Growing your magazine is all about finding and keeping subscribers. It’s about creating a community and treating your subscribers like your neighbours.

Faith Drinnan
WHO SHE IS: Founder and Mother (figuratively speaking) of the Oysters. Faith is a true product of the 60s and, to be honest, believes that the world would be a better place if we could all just love each other and live in harmony. Her biggest regret is not being old enough to attend Woodstock.
HOME FRONT: Faith lives with her amazingly supportive partner Donald and their two children Eric and Maggie.
AS AN OYSTER: Faith’s passion is growing smaller circulation magazines. She loves to see them grow to be healthy, happy, profitable magazines. Faith has been finding and keeping subscribers for smaller circ magazines since 1979. Faith is extremely proud to be joining the faculty at Circulation School in 2009.
Molly Hyndman
WHO SHE IS: The gal that keeps us all sane.
HOME FRONT: Molly lives with her human Jennifer.
AS AN OYSTER: Molly greets all visitors with a smile, a sniff, and a wag.
Jennifer Hyndman
WHO SHE IS: A small-town girl and proud of it!!
HOME FRONT: Jenn lives with her ‘'Fur Baby’- Molly.
AS AN OYSTER: Jenn’s most recent accomplishment is becoming a Graduate of Magazines Canada’s Circulation School in February 2009. In Spring 2008, Jenn completed the Management Development for Women program at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax. Jenn’s education, contacts, and experience make her an up-and-coming Circulation Professional and an integral part of the Oyster Team.
Jennifer is flexing her Circulation Muscles as she works with Faith to provide Circulation Consulting to Motorcycle Mojo, Progress, Open to the World, Book of Lists, Optimyz, and Prairies North magazines.
Shirley Jenkinson
WHO SHE IS: A Grandmother (with a capital G) with a passion for photography.
HOME FRONT: Shirley’s love knows no bounds—Lauchlan, Terry ,Jenni, and Mickaela are truly blessed.
AS AN OYSTER: Shirley has been with the Oyster Group for over 10 years. She has extensive training and experience in our in-house specialized fulfillment software and many subscribers know her by name.
Shirley is the lead Oyster for Saltscapes and Prairies North Magazines. Thanks to the exceptional service that Shirley gives subscribers, Saltscapes and Prairies North enjoy the highest renewal rates in the country!!
Nancy Landry
WHO SHE IS: Small but mighty!
HOME FRONT: Nancy’s life revolves around her children Christopher and Lori and granddaughters Allie, Paige and Ryleigh.
AS AN OYSTER: Nancy joined the Oyster Group in 2007 to cover for a maternity leave and we just could not let her go. Nancy’s strengths are her customer service and leadership skills. Nancy is the lead Oyster for Motorcycle Mojo magazine fulfillment.
Diane Lane
WHO SHE IS: Diane is as genuine as her smile. We feel blessed to have found our newest Oyster.
HOME FRONT: Diane shares her life with her special guy - Nolan.
AS AN OYSTER: Diane brings years of experience delighting customers across Canada. She is part of our Fulfillment Team and provides “Fulfillment in every sense of the word.“
Joan Riou
WHO SHE IS: A Newfie that loves dogs.
HOME FRONT: Joan lives with Rosie and the cats - Mylo and Bella. And, oh yes, her husband Dennis. Trisha has now flown the coop but is never far from Joan’s heart.
AS AN OYSTER: Subscribers love to hear that Newfie accent and humour on the phone. Joan is extraordinarily efficient and works with Cindy in our Portland Office and Jenn in our Dartmouth Office to find, keep, and grow subscribers for Rug Hooking, Wildfowl Carving and Celtic Life.
Cindy Thompson
WHO SHE IS: Our USA Oyster.
HOME FRONT: Cindy loves to renovate—why else would she always be doing it?
AS AN OYSTER: Cindy keeps things cooking along in our Portland office.
